Course Description

Students in this trade sampler program will gain experience and knowledge in trades safety, pipe trades, carpentry, and electrical. Through hands-on activities, students will work alongside Camosun instructors to better understand these pathways and the skills required to be safe and successful. Take home projects will be created each day. This program is open to female students, and students that identify as female. Students will be responsible for having close-toed shoes and wearing appropriate clothing.

Payments

  • Fees are due upon registration and are payable by credit card.

Refunds/Withdraws

  • A 100% refund is provided up to seven (7) calendar days prior to the start date of the course. No refunds are provided after this date.
  • To withdraw from a course, navigate to the Student Portal > My enrollment history.
  • If a withdraw box appears next to your current course, you are eligible to withdraw from it with a 100% refund.

Prerequisites

  • Open to students who identify as Female
  • Open to SIP students born between January 2009 and December 2011 (entering grade 7 to entering grade 9)
  • Students must be enrolled in one of the following school districts: 61, 62, 63, 64 and 79
  • Students are required to wear close-toed shoes and appropriate clothing (long, non-synthetic pants (ie. jeans), t-shirt or long-sleeved shirts, long hair in a pony tail, no dangling jewelry).
