Program Background

Camosun College is committed to providing an environment that respects and promotes human rights and personal dignity and ensures that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. We support the principle that all individuals are entitled to a work and education environment that is free from any form of discrimination and harassment.

On November 1, 2013 WorkSafeBC enacted three new provincial Occupational Health and Safety policies under Sections 115, 116 and 117 of the Workers Compensation Act.

In response, Camosun's Human Resources department created proprietary education programs for its employees. The online curriculum for every new employee was enhanced with a supplementary in-person course specifically developed for Workplace Leaders, co-facilitated by Camosun's OPD Specialist Anita Ferriss and subject matter expert, Marli Rusen, LLB.

Thank you for your participation and commitment to making Camosun College an inclusive and respectful workplace! For more information contact Human Resources at HRLD@camosun.ca
