Course Description

Camosun has paused all face-to-face classes due to the COVID-19 crisis. Our educators have created an interactive online course using video streaming as a temporary solution to keep our community safe.

Explore popular social media channels used for business including Facebook (business pages), Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn (profiles), Google My Business, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat & more! Take a strategic approach to determine which channels fit your audience and goals. We’ll start with a big picture overview of successful online marketing and how social media, websites, email marketing, content creation, search engine optimization (SEO) and advertising are all part of this mix. As we cover each social channel we’ll share best practices for growing your audience and building relationships, what & how often to share, how to evaluate your results, and tips for time management. We will also cover how to use Canva.com - a handy, free online graphic design tool. A great crash course for business owners, managers and marketers to understand how social media is changing the way the businesses communicate with customers, and how to use it effectively.

Designed for confident, intermediate computer users. If you are new to social media, take Social Media for Newbies first.
