Course Description

Recognized by Transport Canada, this three day course provides seafarers on larger commercial vessels with an understanding of the hazards associated with the marine environment and develops skills to cope with emergency situations. Topics include emergency response, lifesaving appliances, and survival rescue with practical pool and fire-fighting sessions. All course materials are included in tuition. COURSE REQUIREMENTS: Physical participation, including lifting and carrying equipment and treading water, is required for practical pool and firefighting exercises. Bring government issued photo ID to present to instructor. To confirm the level of MED required for your industry, you may contact Transport Canada at 250-363-0394.
